Propranololis a drug belonging to the group of beta-blockers (beta-blockers). Its active substance is propranolol, whose action is based on the blocking of receptors that occur in the tissues and organs on the surface of muscle, glandular or nerve cells. These receptors are stimulated by adrenaline or noradrenaline. This hormone contributes to to accelerate the rhythm of the heart.
